This web site is both a place and a space. Explanation: Bjorn Sorenssen sees space and place as two different things.
Sorenssen states that, "A place is thus an instantaneous configurations of positions. It implies an indication of stability."
Places are something that are fixed and cannot change, they are dead, for example a building. Sorenssen then goes on to
say that, "Space implies vectors of direction, velocities and time variables. Space is composed of intersections of
mobile elements." This means that space is always changing, never the same thing twice, it is living. - From
the paper Let your finger do the walking: The space/place metaphor in on-line communication This web page is always
the same place but the space of it is always changing by both me changing the content and you signing the guestbook.
